We collect limited information to improve your experience and operate our site effectively. This includes data you provide directly (such as your email address when subscribing to our newsletter or submitting a contact form) and data collected automatically through standard web technologies.

Information You Provide

When you subscribe to our newsletter, submit a contact form, or interact with our tools, you may provide your name, email address, and message content. We use this information solely for the purpose you provided it.

Automatically Collected Information

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics collects page views, session duration, device type, approximate geographic region (city level), referral source, and basic interaction events. We have configured Google Analytics with the following privacy protections: IP anonymization is enabled, Google Signals (cross-device tracking via signed-in Google accounts) is disabled, and advertising personalization signals are disabled. Analytics data is retained by Google for 14 months and then automatically deleted.

Cloudflare Web Analytics may also be active on our site. This service does not use cookies, does not track individual users across sites, and does not collect personal information. It captures aggregate page views, referral sources, and general geographic region.

Cookies

Minted Metal uses a limited set of cookies:

  • Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*): Set by Google Analytics for session and visitor identification. These expire after 2 years. They do not contain personal information.
  • Cloudflare security cookies (__cf_bm and similar): Essential cookies set by our hosting infrastructure for bot protection and security. These do not track browsing activity.

We do not use advertising cookies or remarketing pixels. To opt out of Google Analytics tracking, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or enable Do Not Track in your browser (which this site honors, disabling analytics when detected).

Third-Party Links

Our site contains links to third-party websites, including precious metals dealers, Gold IRA companies, and affiliate partners in adjacent categories such as home safes and security systems. Links to dealers and Gold IRA companies are not affiliate links. We have no financial relationship with the companies we review. When you leave our site, you are subject to the privacy policies of those third-party sites. We encourage you to review their privacy practices.

Data Retention

Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form and cannot be linked to individual visitors.

  • Cloudflare (cloudflare.com): Provides hosting, content delivery, and security services (including Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection on forms). For visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland: The legal basis for processing your personal data is consent (newsletter signup, analytics), legitimate interest (contact form inquiries, site security), and contractual necessity (email delivery). If your browser sends the Do Not Track signal, we disable Google Analytics for your session.
