How We Earn Revenue
Minted Metal earns revenue primarily through affiliate partnerships. Our affiliate relationships are with companies that sell parallel products our readers care about, such as home safes, vault equipment, home security systems, insurance providers, and similar adjacent categories. When you click certain links on our site and complete a purchase, we may earn a commission. This commission comes from the merchant, not from you. You pay the same price regardless of whether you use our link.
Compensation is typically a percentage-based commission on qualifying purchases made through our affiliate links. We are not paid flat fees for reviews, and no merchant can pay for a higher rating or favorable mention.
Zero Financial Relationships With Dealers We Review
Minted Metal has no affiliate, referral, advertising, sponsorship, or financial relationship of any kind with any precious metals dealer, bullion retailer, mint, custodian, or Gold IRA company that we review on this site. We do not earn commissions when readers click through to a dealer. We do not receive payment, free product, discounts, or any other consideration from the companies we cover.
This is a deliberate choice. Independent dealer research is only credible if the researcher has nothing to gain from any particular outcome. By keeping every revenue stream entirely outside the precious metals industry, we eliminate the structural conflict of interest that defines most "review" sites in this category.
If a dealer or Gold IRA company offers us an affiliate arrangement, we decline. If a dealer offers compensation to alter or suppress a review, we decline and document the request.
What This Means for You
Our affiliate partnerships in adjacent categories support the cost of operating this site: research, hosting, and editorial staff. They have zero influence on our editorial decisions about precious metals dealers, because the dealers are not the source of the revenue.
